Post Falls is our busiest suburban run in Kootenai County: neighborhoods off Seltice Way, Prairie Avenue and Highway 41, mostly homes built since 2000, and the businesses out toward the Washington state line.
Most homes in Post Falls are fairly new, with builder-grade Kwikset on nearly every door. Those locks usually work fine, so the most common request here is a rekey, not a replacement. The real question is who else has a key. The builder, half a dozen subcontractors and maybe a past owner have all carried copies. A rekey changes the pins so none of those keys turn, and we can key every door alike. New owners often want it done before their first weekend in the house.
The other common call is about key fobs. Plenty of households run two cars on one working fob because the spare went missing years ago. We cut and program a replacement right in your driveway, and it's far easier to do while you still have one that works.
Commercial calls come from Seltice Way and the Pleasant View exit on I-90: storefronts, warehouses and truck stops, where a driver sometimes locks the keys in a rig.
