We're a mobile locksmith based in Coeur d'Alene. There's no shop counter and no distant call center between you and the person who shows up: you call, we answer, we quote, we drive out.

Lockouts, new keys, rekeys and hardware jobs all get done where the problem is: a driveway in Hayden, a parking lot off I-90, a rental cabin near the lake or an office downtown. The van is stocked well enough that most calls wrap up in a single visit.
Before anyone gets in the van, you hear an actual number on the phone. There's no trip charge, and nights and weekends cost the same as a weekday afternoon. If the job looks different once we see the lock or the vehicle, we explain what changed and get your okay before any work starts.
We're insured, and the business is owner-operated. Idaho doesn't issue a state locksmith license, so if someone here tells you they're "state licensed", it's fair to ask which license they mean. What we do require is proof that the car or property is yours before we make a key: a driver's license plus the registration, every time.
The usual trick runs like this. An out-of-area call center buys online ads under a local-sounding name, quotes $29 on the phone, then sends a subcontractor with little training who drills a lock that could have been picked and hands over a bill for several hundred dollars. It works because you're stuck outside, maybe in a North Idaho January, and in no mood to argue.
Protecting yourself takes a minute. Get the full price before anyone is sent. Ask for the company's name and look for a real local address and honest reviews. Treat a rock-bottom phone quote with suspicion, and be wary of anyone who pulls out a drill on an ordinary house lock, since nearly every lockout can be opened without damage.
Key blanks and cutters for most domestic and import vehicles; programmers for transponder chips, remote-head keys and push-to-start fobs; residential and commercial locks; and pinning kits for the brands we see on most Kootenai County houses, which is mainly Kwikset and Schlage, along with heavier-duty hardware for downtown businesses. Carrying all of that is why one trip usually finishes the job.
We won't open a car or a house for someone who can't show it belongs to them. We won't give you a low number we expect to raise later. And if another option makes more sense, like a dealer-only key for a brand-new model or a damaged door that really needs a carpenter, we'll tell you so. Losing one job beats charging you for the wrong one.
Call any time of day or night. We'll quote over the phone and come straight to you.
